Aral Sea - Disappearing




In 1960, the Aral Sea (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan) was 64,051km.Once Aral Sea was the world's fourth-largest inland saline body of water.Since then feeder rivers have been diverted for irrigation and the lake has shrunk to about 28,000km.Aral Sea is Worlds fastest shrinking lake. It is now in danger of disappearing.
